Report Management – Clone Report

Clone Report is the function that „save as“ an existing report with all relevant and assigned informations. Imagine you have a report with about 40 recipients with relevant filters. And you’d like to send (with the same recipients and filters) another report (reportID) to them. You can now go to the admin interface of the reports and click on the „clone report“ function. This will produce the same report with the name „CLONE: My Existing Report“. After this you can edit the report and change the ReportID.

Manage Organisation Groups

NEW Feature!!! (2011-04-11) As it is sometimes neccessary to manage user groups, which will recieve the same report with the same settings. I’m proud to announce the new feature in the User Management, which allows you to define a Organisation as a group. This is done at the to, next to the salutation. After you have activated this feature, you need to reload the page, to get the correct input view: As you can see, you can now add several users with the related communication information. Notice! You are allowed to add a user several times, as you send e.g. a mail to different adresses;) Feedback welcome!

Manage Communications After you have created a new user, you need to add the information on how to deploy the reports generated by QlikView. Installing PDFPrinter and Configuration

Installing the printer For the usage of the printing functionallity, we need to install the QlikViewPrinter Version 9 on the Server-Maschine. You can download it from the QlikView Download Page. After you have installed the printer pls change the settings for „SAVE“ as shown in the following screenshot: Note! It’s important to set those settings, otherwise the „default“ file will be saved into a wrong directory and the service will not find the latest produced report to continue it’s work. In the application.config, you can set another directory „defaultpdfuri“, so you can change the path for the printer as long it ist the same as this setting.
